The Y12SR Peer Support Guide Certification is a 24-hour immersive training designed to equip individuals with the knowledge, tools, and confidence to lead Y12SR (Yoga of 12-Step Recovery) meetings in their communities.

Held over a single weekend—this comprehensive training combines foundational self-study with live, interactive instruction, offered both online and in person. By the end of the weekend, participants will have completed all requirements for full certification as a Y12SR Peer Support Guide.

What’s Included:

  • Pre-Training Materials: Before the weekend begins, participants will receive access to essential readings, short videos, and reflection prompts that cover:The biology and psychology of addiction, The 12-step model, Yoga philosophy, and Trauma-informed recovery principles.These materials provide a solid foundation and prepare participants for a deep and engaging live experience.


  • Over the course of three days, participants will:

  • Explore the integration of yoga and recovery in a supportive, embodied learning space

  • Learn how to design, lead, and sustain effective Y12SR meetings

  • Practice facilitating a simulated Y12SR meeting

  • Receive guidance, mentorship, and community support

Certification Requirements- To receive Y12SR Peer Support Guide Certification, participants must:

  • Complete assigned pre-training content

  • Attend and fully participate in all 24 hours of live training (online or in person)

  • Successfully complete a brief post-training online assessment

Yoga Alliance registered yoga teachers are eligible  for CEUs

By the end of the weekend, participants will be certified and empowered to lead Y12SR meetings—bringing trauma-informed, yoga-based recovery support to their communities.
